What is the current status of Spotlight?

Apologies for all the outages recently as we have had some major problems to resolve one after the other (they say these things come in 3's) - most of which the cause was completely out of our hands, but the effect meant a lot of work (and not a lot of sleep).

Status Page request:

For now (while I think about an automated status page), if there are any problems I will post a Status Message on the front page of the Spotlight site detailing what is going wrong and try to give you an estimation of how long this will occur for and what parts of the service it affects. I have also set up a Status Message Update email (which you can unsubscribe from) so you will receive status messages about critical service problems or planned outages where for example the status messages on the front page won't be available. If there are no status message on the front page then you can assume Spotlight is running smoothly. 

Forum request:

I hope the additional forums help and fix the problem of everyone having to post into the one forum which is unrelated to the subject their post is about. If additional forums are need please add them to the Suggestions forum. I have also moved the forum topics into their new homes, which I should have kept all comments in tact and the URLs should be the same as they were.

Thanks again for your patience with the Spotlight service and for the suggestions you have put forward to improve the service.

Second this.  I haven't seen any breaks in the feed since the spotlight program was started so I hope this doesn't mean the program was canceled.
