Registration - Create Profile

Welcome to the Reuters Spotlight community. In joining Reuters Spotlight you will be provided with programmatic access to the rich content seen on reuters.com for non-commercial purposes; this includes multimedia articles, text stories, pictures and video.

If you would like to gain access to the Reuters Spotlight community and feeds you are required to choose a unique user name and a valid email address for which the account will be registered against. On registering for an account you will receive an activation email with a temporary password that you are required to change upon the first login. Once you have successfully registered an account with Reuters Spotlight your account will be provided with an API key, which you are responsible for keeping safe, and you will have full access to the Spotlight community, tools and feeds.

NOTE: The Spotlight service is now live for the public to register and request access for. So as not to overload the service, your registrations are sent as requests for access, which we will grant you upon receiving your request. We apologize if this may cause a few hours delay in your registration, but hopefully this will enable us to learn and address any unforeseen scaling and service issues.

Your preferred username; punctuation is not allowed except for periods, hyphens, and underscores.
A valid e-mail address. All e-mails from the system will be sent to this address. The e-mail address is not made public and will only be used if you wish to receive a new password or wish to receive certain news or notifications by e-mail.
